Guidelines for Proper Utilization of Construction Safety Nets

The installation of construction safety nets should adhere to specific guidelines. When working at heights exceeding 4 meters, a safety net that rises gradually with the structure's wall must be utilized. Additionally, fixed safety nets should be installed every 4 meters. For structures like outer frames and bridge frames, safety nets are mandatory at upper and lower apertures. The positioning of safety nets should ensure a consistent height, typically with a 50cm variance. Support rods must remain intact without any signs of breakage or bending. Furthermore, the gap between the net's inner edge and the wall should not exceed 15cm, while maintaining a distance of over 3 meters between the lowest point of the net and the ground. The diameter of support poles should meet specified dimensions, with wooden poles not less than 7cm in diameter at the smaller end and bamboo poles not less than 8cm. Pole spacing should not exceed 4 meters.

Prior to deployment, inspect construction safety nets for signs of corrosion or damage. Throughout the construction process, ensure the safety net's integrity, appropriate support, even tension, and absence of debris. Lap joints must be secure without any gaps. Once erected, safety nets should not be dismantled or damaged until construction is completed, and removal should only occur when no work at height is underway. Temporary removal of erected safety nets requires notification and approval from the erection unit before dismantling. Following restoration to specifications, a thorough inspection by the erection unit is necessary before resuming use.

Regularly clear debris from safety nets. During welding activities atop the net, take precautions to prevent sparks from falling onto the net. Avoid prolonged exposure to heavy acid or base fumes around the net.

Conduct frequent inspections of construction safety nets during usage and maintain detailed usage records. Timely address any safety nets that fail to meet requirements. When not in use, safety nets should be properly stored to prevent moisture and mildew. Before deploying a new net, verify the product's nameplate, ensuring proper orientation and separation between nets. Firmly secure the bottom tether during installation. Validate the manufacturer's production license and product factory certificate. For previously used nets, conduct tests and review test reports to ensure their suitability for continued use.
